Hotshot dispatch
Hotshot dispatch for owner-operators
You run a 1-ton pickup with a gooseneck. We bring the authority, the insurance and the loads — urgent freight with less deadhead, and you approve every one.
What hotshot freight looks like
Hotshot is time-sensitive freight that doesn’t need a full 53-foot trailer: machinery and parts, construction and oilfield equipment, building materials, and partial loads that a shipper needs moved today, not next week.
Because the loads are smaller and urgent, the work is about speed and fit. A good hotshot load matches your trailer length and weight limits, picks up close to where you are, and drops where you can find the next one.
How we dispatch hotshot trucks
Your dispatcher learns your setup first — truck, trailer length, how much you can legally haul and where you like to run. Then they look for urgent loads that fit it and plan the next one before you’re empty, so you spend less time deadheading.
Every load comes to you with the details. Nothing is booked without your OK.
CDL or non-CDL hotshot?
Both can work. Under federal rules, a combination with a gross combined weight rating of 26,001 lbs or more, towing a trailer rated over 10,000 lbs, needs a Class A CDL. Many full-size hotshot setups land in that range.
If your pickup and trailer are rated to stay under 26,001 lbs combined, you can run without a CDL — you’ll haul lighter loads, so the load board looks different. Tell us your ratings on the application and we’ll talk through what fits. Either way, interstate commercial driving needs a current DOT medical card.
